The Amazon account is in my husband's name but is actually me who uses it. My name is Patricia. If Joanna Sheen had a fan club I would join! World of Cards is a delight, whether you are an experianced card maker or, like me, just learning, her books are the ones to buy. All levels are catered for, instructions are clear and beautifully portrayed. Every example can be adapted for any occasion. However it isn't just the examples and instructions which make the books so special. it is the way Ms Sheen's personality shines through, the tips, comments and recipes and her obvious delight in her craft fills every page. You really feel that you are learning from a special friend. If you only buy one card making book make it this one.

This is Joanna's latest book, and definitely her best. This book is full of wonderful ideas, every project is clearly photographed and given detailed instructions. It covers a wealth of ideas, decoupage, stamping, waterfall and shaker cards with clever cuts and folds, and many different ways to place images and embellishments. As always it relies heavily on Joanna Sheens range of papers, cds and so on, but the designs are so adaptable that with a little imagination it is easy to replace pictures etc with what you already have.Throughout the book are spaced little quotes you can use in or on your cards/scrapbook pages, as well as tips and tricks. This is a book you can keep going back to for fresh ideas and stunning cards.

This book is simply a must have for all card makers. Joanna Sheen demonstrates ideas for making simply stunning professional cards. She is simply the Queen of Craft. Great presentation, instructions and use of techniques to help any crafter - beginner or advanced make perfect cards. Unbeatable. Everything used in her book is available on her website and in most good craft shops.

Now I'm a huge fan of Joanna Sheen, her stamps and craft cd-rom's are superb for all us cardmakers and this book doesent fail to inspire too. Within days of getting this book and having a good mooch i was given an order for 3 cards for men (A nightmare for me as most cardmaking revolves around the fairer sex) but this gave wonderful inspiration and many more that i have made, there is much to be had for the ladies and for children too. Also the designs are not overly flamboyant which i feel many such design books suffer from. I alredy use this as a staple reference and love the little tid-bits of personal information that Joanna has scattered about the pages. Get this you won't be dissapointed

I bought this book at the same time I bought Layered cards and again was very disappointed. I am really not keen on this book. What I want from a book like this is ideas that I cant come up with myself, nothing of that sort in this book. Its okay but sorry I bought both it and the Layered Cards.

Although I have passed this stage, this is a good book for beginners. rather than send it back I gave it to my mum who has just started card-making. It explains how to make the cards well and there are some interesting designs.
